Tinubu Approves Key Appointments in NECO, NBTE, and Other Federal Institutions President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh round of appointments across several key educational and national institutions in Nigeria.
The development was announced in a statement issued in Abuja by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, Professor Modupe Adelabu has been appointed as Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Examinations Council (NECO).
At the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Professor Babatunde Salako has been appointed as Chairman, while Professor Idris Bugaje has been reappointed as Executive Secretary for a second term.
In addition, Dr Bongfa Binfa has been appointed as the new Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, N’yak-Shendam in Plateau State.
President Tinubu also renewed the appointment of Professor Chinwe Anunobi as Director-General of the National Library of Nigeria for a final five-year term.
The Presidency explained that her reappointment is aimed at ensuring continuity of ongoing reforms, particularly in strengthening digital initiatives such as the National Repository and National Virtual Library, as well as completing the National Library headquarters project in Abuja.
